PAC spending in the Torrance election is 7 to 1

$148k from OC real-estate PACs, $20k from public-safety unions

The first Torrance Watch newsletter is here.

I've been a busy beaver 🦫 building the site, but that's nothing next to the campaigns. So. Many. Mailers. 📬 Forums, canvassing, glad-handing, baby-kissing. Only eleven days to go.

Want to ignore the mailers without ignoring the election? Here's a pattern worth knowing.

Every contested Torrance race has the same two alliances in the filings: OC real-estate PACs on one side, Torrance public-safety unions on the other. The split isn't subtle.

Worth keeping in mind, as whoever takes office will know who spent to get them there.
