Harry Ward MD, a challenger for Torrance City Council District 5, is a board-certified nephrologist and internal medicine specialist. He earned his MD with honors at Howard University in 1976 and completed fellowship training in renal immunopathology and clinical nephrology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center from 1979 to 1982. He retired as a Captain in the US Navy Reserve Medical Corps after more than 30 years, with deployments during Operation Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom. 3
